Salt Production
The source for Kniepp® Thermal Spring Bath Salts is an ancient underground salt water sea in central Germany that is the last remaining salt works in Europe, mined by using traditional methods. The sea is 460 meters deep and 250 million years old. The salt crystals are extracted from the thermal brine by heating it in large pans, allowing the liquid to evaporate naturally. The unique crystal form which results naturally absorbs the essential oils until released into a warm steamy bath. The crystals are free from chemical additives or environmental pollutants. Kneipp® Thermal Spring Bath Salt is a natural source of various mineral and trace elements.
